ConfigMgr Positions at Dell.

Keep an eye on IT jobs at Dell for ConfigMgr positions (be sure to search for both “ConfigMgr” and “SCCM.”) Many of the positions you find will be for jobs on other teams suporting customers, and will be somewhat-connected to the Dell guys (and gals) you know (Warren, Chris, Mark, Dennis, Angie, Greg, Donnie).  So I encourage you to apply for those.  I did want to mention that we do currently have a position on our immediate team, so if you think you’d like to join our immediate team, be sure and apply for this one:

http://jobs.dell.com/dallas/information-technology/jobid2203199-configuration-management-advisor-jobs

(You can be located in Dalls, Austin, or for the right candidate we’ll even consider a remote employee).

[edit 3/15/2012] Oh yea, and the best part – We’re cutting edge, deploying ConfigMgr 2012, heavily involved in Early Adopter Programs like Windows 8/Server 8, always innovating too.

What’s New in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2012?

The next version of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) will be released soon! Learn about all the new features and enhancements in this version, including support for Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager; the ability to deploy to UEFI computers; integration with the DaRT tools; and much more.

Introducing the Application Approval Workflow solution accelerator

In System Center 2012, the Configuration Manager application catalog provides the ability to require administrative approval for new application requests.  In this session, we’ll explore how the Application Approval Workflow solution accelerator can be used to process these requests, delegating approvals to the appropriate people.

Inside a Configuration Manager 2012 Task Sequence

In this session, we demonstrate the inner workings of a task sequence, showing the various steps in the process, how information is passed to and between each step, what the steps do, and how to troubleshoot when things don’t go as expected.

The Wally Files are live!

We have posted the media files from Wally’s presentations at CTSMUG on Jan 18th and 20th.  Go to our home page (www.ctsmug.org), and click on the Media link. From there you can drill in and download the sessions (hot tip, download them, and don’t attempt to stream them.)

**Unfortunately, we have no audio from the Jan 20th meeting :( . The Audio file was somehow corrupted in the livemeeting recording. We are working with the livemeeting team in an attempt to salvage/restore it, but so far, it’s not looking good :( .
